Why listen to me
I graduated from NYU School of Law, where I continued mentoring pre-law students throughout my time there. When I applied, my LSAT score was never going to be the headline. What got me in was a strong personal statement that did the work my numbers couldn't. I was admitted to several schools ranked in the T-30, some with full-ride offers, without a single day of legal experience on my resume.
I'm also a first-generation college graduate and an immigrant. Nobody in my family could tell me what a personal statement was supposed to sound like, so I spent months figuring out, sentence by sentence, how to speak the language of admissions committees. That's the part I can shortcut for you.
During law school, I helped students with their resumes and personal statements, and watched them get offers from schools like USC and UPenn.
